Safe house protection for male adolescents living with HIV/AIDS-defining infections & diseases (also at-risk for psychological, neurological, and developmental challenges due to sexual abuse, gang violence, addiction, human trafficking, and cyclical prostitution).

Early Intervention Saves Valuable Lives.
S
urvivors of the sex trade in boys are one of the most stigmatized and underserved social groups living in the USA in 2013. Kids servicing the sex trade in boys in the USA are more at risk for being infected with HIV, developing AIDS-defining infections & diseases, and for dying prematurely than any other group of youth in the USA.

Our Mission
As the US Government gears up to implement their vision for an AIDS-Free Generation, whilst simultaneously SLASHING funding for Treatment and Support Services that raise the quality of life for boys servicing the sex trades & survivors of the sex trade in boys, we will be joining the conversation to ensure that no child is left behind, or EXCLUDED.

The U.N. Committee on the Rights of the Child states a child is any person under 18 years old, and urges all levels of government to involve civil society — including children themselves — in the process of implementing and raising awareness of child rights. In 2002 the USA ratified the Convention on the Rights of the Child’s optional protocol: Sale of Children, Child Prostitution and Child Pornography.  The USA is charged with ensuring its legal, health and social systems serve the best interests of every violated child in US Territories. ***This promise to the children has yet to be enforced or implemented.

Why do adults charged with protecting & serving the best interests of kids, keep assigning such a derogatory label to us. THEY are the people who are so HARD-TO-REACH.

  • We have learnt that hard-to-reach adults 'typically' say we fall outside their scope of work and funding remit, so they cannot get involved in facilitating for us to live away from poverty, neglect and violence, or help us raise the quality of our lives and extend our life expectancy.
  • We have learnt that hard-to-reach adults 'typically' believe it is okay for their adult peers to 'rescue' us, by forcing us to submit to, and to live in facilities modeled on, the very middle-class trajectories which failed us so spectacularly in the first place.
  • We have learnt that hard-to-reach adults 'typically' will not do anything they are able to protest and call for funding to be released, so kids with HIV/AIDS have safe places to grow up in and access appropriate healthcare and trauma programs, and strategies that make it easier for kids to commit to treatment and cope with the powerful side-effects of the prescription medications, which we need to take for the rest of our lives.
  • We have learnt that hard-to-reach adults 'typically' try to avoid us and also teach their own kids never to welcome survivors with a history of abuse, rape and HIV/AIDS into their homes or lives.

Pay attention to nonverbal signals.
Recognize that survivors find physical contact threatening.

Physicians should be familiar with mandatory reporting requirements within the jurisdictions in which they practice… Physicians have a duty to disobey laws they believe are ethically wrong, and to follow their conscience (Geiderman, 2012).

Why has public health failed.

You have failed because you have failed. If only a minority of people with HIV can stay in primary care, you have failed. It is your public health system. It is your failure.

“But the patient is not being cooperative.”

Are you looking for the hard to reach or for cooperation. Decide. You can’t have both. It isn’t possible. Get over it.

We could never afford the drugs. Where has public health been advocating for us. We are poor. We have no money. What has public health done at the doors of Big Pharma. In a word, nothing.

When public health tells us everyone can be treated we do not believe you. We KNOW people who are on waiting lists. We think you want to track us, use us and abuse us simply because everyone does and that is our experience.

Meanwhile, back at the White House, Sequestration has fucking HURT whether the administration is aware of that or not, and whether the mainstream media cares or not. Indifference is nothing new to us.

So you have a LONG way to go to reach young boys doing sex work and the statistics bear that out. The video we have posted here will make you uncomfortable even if it is only two seconds long.

It portrays a kind of bondage that can be inherent to sex work, and it portrays the kind of relationship we understand we would have with public health.

Personally, I have no faith in you whatsoever. Show me the money.

Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948).
Article 27.
 (1) Everyone has the right freely to participate in the cultural life of the community, to enjoy the arts and to share in scientific advancement and its benefits.

Confidentiality. Forms of online surveillance often take place for “political, rather than security reasons in an arbitrary and covert manner," UN Special Rapporteur Frank La Rue argues,
calling on governments to decriminalize defamation, do away with real-name registration systems -- including the parameters in Facebook's terms and conditions that allows governments to collect users' names and passwords -- and restrict rights only in the face of an imminent threat.
Broad surveillance powers or the erosion of privacy online endanger anonymity's ability to protect dissenters and journalists and those using pseudonyms when they speak out (UN 2011 report).
